Installed this fuel gauge on IH 304 scout ii. My previous full sending unit worked fine, but since I had to drop the fuel tank, I decided to replace. This sending unit won't read full. It only reads up to 3/4. There is no access from top, so I will have to pull fuel tank again which is not ideal.

This unit was installed in my 79' Scout Traveler. In my case the tow hitch needed removed before the fuel tank could be dropped. The supplied gasket fixed my fuel leak.
