The old OEM heater core had been showing symptoms something was wrong for a long time, lost heat the day after I first bought the car, I flushed the cooling system & the heat came back but I kept hearing water noises from in the dash, then finally almost 2 years later, one day on my way to work it completely failed, started hissing & the cabin was filling with steam & the strong smell of coolant, it cracked along the plastic pipe.So I decided to give this all metal version a try vs buying another one made with plastic ends.The replacement went about as good as I could hope for, it fit without a issue, no more water noises from the dash, blows very hot when set to heat.
