It went in easy - but I've done these several times, on various cars, so if it's your first time, you should do a google search and watch a Youtube installation video. To install, I usually undo the bolts connecting the bad regulator's 2 plastic tan pads to your window, then carefully raise the window (w/ the door open and hands on both sides.) A 2nd person is helpful but not necessary. You don't want to chance dropping the window, but if you do, don't panic, as you can get another used one from a junkyard. Then tape the window closed w/ the door open, w/ two U-shaped loops of strong duct tape, going from the top of the window's outside, to the top of the window's inside. That will hold it closed, but only temporarily! I've done enough of these to know after several hours the tape adhesion will let go. (and you'll have to use something like fingernail polish to remove the tape's glue. To keep the window closed while you're waiting for your new part, it helps to put blocks of wood under you window to keep it up/closed. Once the new part arrived, before installation, I had to cut off 1 of 2 white zip ties, that allowed me to undo the regulator so once in, the 2 metal regulator arms would be vertical. I left the 2nd white zip tie ALONE - the one that allows the regulator's black lines to for an "X". I don't know if it's supposed to be removed, but I do know the window goes up and down w/ it still on, and that I could always cut it off, or add it back if I removed it but discovered it was useful. To install the new regulator, you'll have to lower the window on the wood blocks, about 1/3, so you can reach the new regulator's 2 plastic tan pads and slide the window into the grooves, then re-install the 2 short bolts. BEFORE putting the interior panel back on, temporarily connect the power window switch to the new regulators wires, to test it.

Arrived quickly and was a perfect fit. I already had the old one pulled out. It took about 10 minutes to install the new one. Seems to work fine.

My driver side window of my ‘04 Olds car quit working. This was a great replacement, though my car needs the window guides and this didn’t have them. Luckily the local auto parts store had just the guides, so we were able to switch them out and get my window fixed.
