I was excited at the quality of this part, heavy casted construction, power coat paint to protect from rust. Smooth cranking on the winch. Unfortunately the cleat at the end of the cable is a few millimeters wider than standard US wheel center hubs so you can't slide it through the center hole. Major bummer. Especially after finding this after it was installed. So high stars on quality, zero stars on usability and of course it is not returnable. Don't know what country the cleat is specified for just know it is not North America.

This is a nicely made and robust spare tire hoist. I will be adapting it to a vehicle other than the one it was designed for, but have no doubt it will serve well.

The bracket is too wide by 1/8". I have a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 5.7 liter hemi. I had to do some grinding to get the bracket through the center of the rim.

This product says it fits a 2007 Grand Cherokee but the piece that goes through the tire was too big. We made it fit by squeezing it with a vice to make the piece a little narrower and we had to take a little plastic piece off.

Wheel Plate that goes through the wheel is oversized and will not fit through the center . Fortunately for me, I am a master mechanic. just hit it aggressively with a flap disc and some touchup paint. Would recommend it be .25 smaller. Shouldn’t have to do this with a brand new item. Thanks china.
