Not the right part does not fit a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado had a 9 gear and should have been a 11 teeth gear by the time the mechanic got to it it was to late to send back had to buy from auto part store $139.00 now I have a starter I’m stuck with.

Even though it said it fit my 2000 suburban, it was not the right fit. Now since my other starter was still working with a couple of hammer kisses, it's past the point of return so I can't get the right part or return for refund.

This does not match the specs from the original OEM starter. The original has (2) 4.69" long bolts, this one needs (1) 4.69" long and (1) 2.14" short bolt. Be prepared to buy another bolt at your local autoparts store.Other than that it seems to work as expected.

This starter seemed to turnover the 5.3 much easier then the one from a local parts vendor, however the bolt on the inside (closer to transmission) didnt have the long sleeve on the starter but fortunatley I had a bolt laying around in my scrap pile that worked. The outside bolt sleeve was there, the inside was just shorter.Works great. will update if it quits early sooner then expected.
