This is the third pump I’ve tried on my OM617 diesel. It’s a higher reving engine than what these pumps are intended for, so the eccentric bearing that drives the diaphragm is what gives out. There’s only about 1 - 2 teaspoons of oil in the housing. I removed the cover and built a larger reservoir so the bearing should have sufficient oil. I’m hoping it lasts longer than the usual 6 months to a year.This model has a ball bearing, some models have needle bearings. We’ll see.Well, it’s been about three weeks and it’s started rattling.

Fit my 2006 E450 6.0. The only installation issue was the removal of the pulley from the old assembly. You will NEED the extractor/installation tool or plan to purchase a pulley as well. Everything went fine with the install, but after about 5 months the until started making a very noticeable ticking noise, now about 7 months it's quite pronounced and I'm expecting something to break internally it's so noisy. I'll need to replace it again!
