First Stage When the first stage is not connected to a cylinder valve, the Auto Closure Device (ACD) keeps the inlet shut to protect the first stage internal parts from contamination and corrosive water. This accomplishes preservation of the internal lubrication, keeping the inlet filter clean and dry, and is safer for elevated percentages of oxygen.
Exceptional cold-water performance is achieved by modernizing Aqua Lung's anti-freeze properties.
Auto-Balanced: Progressive increase of the working pressure to maintain optimum breathing efforts. Depending on the diver's depth, the working pressure of the first stage is automatically elevated to counteract the increased breathing air density. Ergonomically shaped Yoke screws made of a bi-material “Soft Grip” surface provide a better hold when installing or removing the first stage – especially with cold hands.
A specialized ACD Dust cap comes attached to the regulator body to protect the inlet fitting and the ACD system from impacts or damage. Perfectly positioned HP and MP ports provide optimal hose routing.
Second Stage The new front cover opening channels allow water to flow sideways over the diaphragm. The new design contains radial openings to prevent freeflows when diving in stronger currents and the openings have been widened to reduce peak inspiratory flow by an impressive 20%. The new overmolded exhaust cover is made of elastomer with a “soft touch” effect.

Item is supposed to be brand new. It came covered in a lot of dust and the manufactures dates states Feb 2021. This item sat on the shelf for 4 year! Scuba regulators need servicing every 1 to stay in warranty. What are you supposed to do with a device that is already 4 years old?

Very comfortable fits well, no pressure on the chin or upper lip. The lip guard is new to me, but I have come to like it. One year in and coming up on 50 dives with it, still like new. I will have a tech service it at 75 dives and give me feedback on the wear and tear. Have used it with 32% nitrox mostly. My usual clean up is fresh water plunge tank dips and a shower rinse, then hung for drying.I have not used it in a cold water environment yet, only warm water dives, 140 feet deepest use with 20.8% air. Flawless easy use.

This was a gift for my husband, I am not a diver. He seems happy with it. He appreciates the fact that he can inhale easily there is no valve to pull open with your breath. He is happy!

The ad says that it is brand new & only the box has been opened.The whole inside of the box and the regulator was covered in dustThe manufactured date on the box is almost 2 years ago!That's not my definition of brand new!I hope the O Rings and rubber seals are not dry rot after sitting around for almost 2 years
