I have used Aquarian heads for years. These make your toms louder and have a great tone for heavy metal. I am sure they are good for any style of drumming.

this is my favorite snare drum head. very loud. perfect if you want a dry, punchy sound. great for heavy metal with grooves.

Not as articulate as a single ply batter head, obviously. Great sound and it can handle butt stroke rim shots. Definitely designed for play rock and metal. The black color hides stick marks, something I didn't consider when buying, so that is a plus, especially for players who use dipstick drum sticks like the ones from Zildjian.

You really have to crank this skin. I never could get it to tune right on my snare. But it is built like a brick outhouse. A must for the heavy hitters, if you can get it to tune.

Empezando por la estética: se ve divino en una batería negra, es impresionante el cambio que tiene tu tarola cuando lo pones. Al principio no quieres pegarle; una vez que lo haces es impresionante su timbre, su sonido, su tono. Casi, podría decir que eleva tu tarola a una dimensión que no creías. Es un gran, gran parche.

This head made a huge difference on my snare. I have a DW performance 6.5x14 snare and it came with the stock DW Remo head which is a fantastic combo but I wanted to try some Aquarian heads just to try them. This thing made my snare sound bigger. Tune it tight and have fun.

I love Aquarian heads already, this was my first time using this particular head. It sounded great the second I put it on the drum, even before I put the rim and tension rods back. I put it on just before I started playing a show and with a few turns of the key, tuned up to a nice sound. Love the head and my band is loving the sound of it too.

OMG what can i say about this SD head...More like what can I not say about it...it's perfect, WTG Roy and Co. i used to change out my SD batter every two to three days but now i can go for two to three weeks man this thing is no joke!!!!! I love this head and will put it up against any flimsy piece of mylar the other makers bring!

The big two do not have anything like this, I held out for a long time but finally decided to give Aquarian a try and glad I did. This sounds amazing just a nice sharp crack not dull or woody sounding but still sensitive. I can also recommend Hi Energy, power thin texture coated (same as Evans PCRD) and regular texture coated, Give Aquarian a try and quit holding out.
