It seems that it will serve a purpose however the plastic rod connecting it broke easily in my hand. It is also difficult to put together. The instructions are only in the ad. Skip this one and buy anything else.

I really like this breeder box because it allows me to have up to two separate sections to house two pregnant fish. And with the bottom section the fry have a place to escape predation.

Althought it didn't come with instructions it was pretty easy to figure out, coming from someone not too bright. I assembled it different than what it's supposed to be and is currently being used to keep my betta separated from my other fish in my 55gal while his own 5.5gal is cycling. The suction cups stuck nicely and I haven't managed to tear the netting like I did with another Brand's product. Very nice and will definitely be ordering more for when my new bettas come in.

If you have bigger fish like mollies or platties they can get stuck between the box and your tank wall and not be able to get free. I lost one of my fish due to that. I'm trying to figure out a way to make mine float so I don't have to worry about my balloon mollies getting trapped.. other than that it's is well made and sturdy.
