This only works on very thin glass, if the glass is too thick it runs continuously and will flood your tank.I finally installed it on thinner glass, but then the pump died after a month. As I was checking the pump I noticed the magnet cracked and was dropping rust into my tank!!!Don’t recommend this at all.

I purchased the Aquarium Marine Reef Fish Tank Automatic Auto Top Off Water Filler hoping for a dependable solution to maintain stable water levels in my reef tank, especially during times I’d be away or unable to monitor it closely. Unfortunately, this product turned out to be one of the most frustrating pieces of equipment I’ve ever used in my aquarium setup.From the beginning, it never worked consistently. The unit would error out roughly every 48 hours, sometimes even sooner. When it fails, it completely stops topping off the tank, causing water levels to drop dangerously—especially risky in a saltwater setup where stability is key. I found myself constantly checking and resetting it, which defeats the entire point of an “automatic” top-off system.What’s even more concerning is that I had planned to rely on this while away on a short vacation. Thankfully, I tested it ahead of time and realized how unreliable it was. Had I actually left it running unattended, the result could have been devastating to my tank and livestock. It’s simply not something you can trust to run on its own.The build feels ok, the instructions are vague, and the error system gives you no real feedback to troubleshoot the issue effectively. After a couple of weeks of frustration and babysitting the device, I returned it. There are better, more reliable options on the market—this isn’t one of them.Bottom line: If you care about the health of your aquarium and your peace of mind, steer clear of this product.

Personally, I do not recommend this product, it is not reliable at all. Sometimes it does not leak water and other times it leaks above its level.

Works great. It works just as good if not better then any high end one should. Will be ordering more for my other tanks
