I bought the 16k btu a couple weeks ago and hooked it up in 10 minutes to my bestway 14x4 ft pool. So far it has had it to 90F. It hasn't dropped below 77F even with lows in the 50s at night. It was 68F before the heat pump. Last year we couldn't swim but for a month of the yr because water always felt cold. Im in N DelawareI and pool is shaded half the day. I do use a solar cover daily. Basically if the outside is 70s then the pool will be mid 80s and warm enough to swim even though the air is to cold for me. 85 and up is warm enough for everyone to enjoy and to be able to get there mid May for me is a game changer and makes this thing a great deal at $600. I haven't had any issues with gfci trippong and mine has tripped alot last yr for an unknown reason. I would definitely buy again. Just know that it does take days to go up in temp not hours. This is designed for energy efficient, budget friendly way to get the pool atleast 10 degrees hotter but prob 20 more then it would be without.

Bought this brand new from a different place but wanted to review any way.It took less that 15 minutes to set up and go. I just needed 2 extra hoses because it doesn't come with it. It only comes with the adaptors needed.Once set up, it took about 8 hours to warm my pool (2000 gallons) from 70 degrees to 85 degrees. That is with the temperature outside going from 80-86 degrees.

We've had this going for a week and it's literally produced no heat at all. I'm not saying it's not heating the pool (though it is not), it's producing zero heat. My phone gets hotter than this thing. Terrible.

Doesn't work. I've had it running for 12 hrs and it hasn't heated at all. Garbage

This works using outside air temperature. Takes forever to heat. It's set up properly. If you are in New York it won't heat much until outside temperature is warm. Not what I expected. It been running for a week. Temperature outside has gone up and down. Original water temperature was 65 now it's 70. A lot of money for barely any warm water. Look at other options.

I got this heater for my intex pool. It was really easy to set up and came with everything you need. It runs only when the pump is running and shuts off when the pump does. It has already warmed the pool up several degrees in two days! Living in upstate NY that’s a plus. Can’t wait to jump in a warm pool.

I’ve got a rectangular intex pool (9 X 18 I believe). I don’t have a large yard at all (barely any) and the only fitting spot I had to place the pool was right in between my place and the house next door. Both are two stories, so there is very limited sun. 3 hours max a day for full sun. I’ll be honest and say it usually just stayed bone chillingly cold unless it was like 100 degrees for multiple days which is not usual in my state. I finally broke down and got one of these heaters. I’ve had mine hooked up for three days now. It’s a slow but steady climb. I’m really pleased with it so far! The pool is actually warmer than the temperature outside at the moment. From the reviews for several pool heaters, many seemed to have bad ones and a warning saying they were frequently returned. However this one didn’t have many so I took a chance. For me at this current time, absolutely worth it already. Here’s hoping it stays running well. But just in case, I bought extra coverage for it. Again, giving 5 stars because it’s absolutely doing its job as of right now just a couple days in. I’m happy with this purchase.
