This is a great pool pump with plenty of power. We upgraded our cartridge filter system to a sand filter last summer. This spring the pump for the sand filter died. This pump is definitely an upgrade. The pump has plenty of power at 3/4 HP and it can move more water (4332 gph) than our previous pump. Also, the pump is not too noisy.I like that the pump has a built in timer with multiple timer settings to choose from. This will eliminate the headache of having to remember to manually turning the pump on/off.This seems like a quality built pump that should be more than enough for our pool.Overall, I'm pleased with this product.

"No More Manual Turn-off" is right in Aquastrong's Amazon ad for this 3/4 HP pool pump, and I'm sold on it! This pump is a big step up from the pump that came with our Costco pool. I'm thrilled that it has a timer because the original didn't. I was constantly running out to either turn my pump "on" or "off". With the lack of consistency, a chemical buildup had to be scrapped off the water blades of the motor several times over the last two years, but my pool was never truly clear unless I put in lots of "Shock". I finally upgraded my sand filter last summer hoping to make my pool water clearer to no avail. So, I ended up cutting the water outlet holes in the lining larger to 1.5" and upgrading the water outlet valves to allow the water to circulate more quickly and put less strain on the old pump, but at 3 yrs. old the original pump died anyway. This particular pool pump comes with both the 1.25" to 2" and the 1.5" to 2" pump-to-pool hose adapters (These are the adapters "MUST" be mounted to the pump's front "inlet" and top "outlet" openings before hooking up any permanent plumbing (or you won't ever be able to unscrew your pool pump which will frustrate you when you have to winterize your system) or the pool hoses (which will have nowhere to attach to the pump without these adaptors). This Aquastrong 3/4 HP pool pumps comes with a TWO-YEAR warranty and have an easy to reach support department online via Email: service@aquastrong.coThis 3/4 HP Auquastrong pool pump's ad says that it will move up to 4,332 gallons of water per hour if the water is set at a 5 ft head. That's awesome because the Bestway pool pump would only move 1,500 per hour. I'm so very excited! I will add some pictures of my "now clear" pool a little later this season. (We are currently experiencing high winds and sever storm weather, but that can't last for long.) In the meantime, in case you haven't noticed, I'm a fan and I think this Auquastrong pump is worth considering for other above ground pool owners who are wanting better pool pump performance.

My old pump has seen better days and so... its time1. This is a heavy unit for a 3/4 H.P. pump, not as heavy as the 2 H.P. pump I have but much closer than I'd have thought and the specs are still in line with my filter so it should save some power and do the same job.2. Built in timer is going to save from playing with my old mechanical timer which should be really cool.3. Includes both sets of fittings for either standard pool hoses (mine) or the ones with the flanges on them. O-rings included as well as a roll of pipe tape, recommend both as always.4. Has an On/Off switch which I have never had in 50 plus years of pool maintenance as its always been on if plugged in so that's a nice upgrade as well and cool to have an actual On/Off switch.5. The basket top has tabs on the outside for easier gripping than any I've seen before, I'll still need to soap or lube but this will certainly help.6. Not pool time yet for a proper test but judging buy the build quality I shouldn't have any issues at all with this new pump.7. Just a reminder for this and any outdoor item - proper GFCI outlet needed, 20 amp if you can. GFCI's save lives.

I am a pool nerd and when I find a brand I trust and respect, I’m loyal.Aquastrong is one of those brands.I ordered this pump to replace a 1.5hp, which honestly was overkill. I have a Pentair Tagelus 24” sand filter and frankly, its flow rate is around 60gpm. I wanted to step down in pump hp to make my filter more effective. The 3/4hp is absolutely fantastic…. Super quiet and my water MOVES. The built in timer is convenient and super easy to use. The quality combined with the affordability of this pump cannot be compared. If you are looking for an upgrade or a replacement, Aquastrong is the brand to look at.

This pump is a work horse! I really like the skimmer basket in it and it’s a very easy set up! It’s a bit larger than most standard above ground filter pumps, but it’s also a lot more powerful than most of them, too! It’s not noisy and it certainly moves water at a much faster rate than most above ground pumps do! It’s well built and if you like the idea of greater gallons per hour…which tends to clean more water in a faster manner…then this is a great deal and likely just what you’re looking for! Just remember to check your filtration more often if this is a step up on GPH than your previous pool pump!

Pumps like it should, decently quiet operation and works great. Comes with a few adapters for compatibility and plugs into the wall/runs off 110v so no need to wire anything. Great replacement, better upgrade for what we originally had. Time will tell how long it'll last but as for now it feels solid and works great. 5 stars

I have this running my solar heater array for an above ground pool.I love that I can just run it for the sunlight period, and it does a good job of overcoming about 18ft of total head. Not sure how well it would do as the primary filter pump on my pool (27ft), but I bet it would work great on ~21 or smaller.
