After two years, I had to replace the original Epson bulb. The Araca is now 6 months old. It started out ok, except for the noxious burning plastic smell, but got more and more dim, picture washed out and the colors are not vibrant. Had to turn up the brightness and contrast 50 to 100%. Also, the fan gets noticeably louder. I never remembered that before the Araca bulb.We were thinking about replacing our 3200 lumen Epson HD projector with an 85” TV, but I decided to get an original Epson bulb first before giving up on my $1000 projector.The Epson bulb reminded me why I got this projector in the first place. With the settings now back at factory, the image is awesome - bright, vibrant, clear.I won’t spend my money on a cheap replacement bulb again, because the original lasted 2 years and the replacement had degraded in about 3 months. The cheap one is actually much more expensive and disappointing.

I was afraid to put the lamp in so i tried taking the projector to a few places without any success. I finally decided to do it myself and it was so easy. The lamp came on time and was easy to install. The lamp came out with little pressure and went in with a small push of the finger.

Wires coming from bulb needed to be screwed in. It was a simple task. Appears to be working well.
