This is a solid, well made joystick for the price! However, as a previous reviewer noted, it is taller that the original factory joystick (see pic).

The photo in the posting for this item is misleading. It looks like it has been modified to make the joystick shaft appear shorter than it really is. If you order one of these keep in mind that this is a long shaft joystick. When I mounted this joystick to my Midway control panel, I had to use nuts as spacers between the control panel and joystick mounting plate. I had to do this to make the shaft length match the original shaft length of my old joystick. See attached photos...

I got a X-ARCADE 2-player joystick a while back, the joystick that came with the X-ARCADE was a 8 and 4 way, but not a true 4 way! I was looking for a joystick with a adjustable 8 to 4 way gate on the bottom, for a true 4 way control, it also had to come close to fitting in the old spot where the old stick was! i took a chance on this one, and it worked out great!! I did need to cut the top plate a bit for a good fit. Also! The bolt holes, line up with the old stick holes. I did need to enlarge the bolt holes a bit on my drill press. Everything came together just fine and now i can play my old classic games with perfect 4 way control, i can also switch back to 8 way with the adjustable gate when i need too! Well worth the money!!
