I ordered these leggings for my 8 yr old granddaughter to wear while skiing. She skis competitively, and there is a lot of waiting time, to get cold, between runs. These "pants" are like very thin leggings and fit quite tightly. But they are great for under her GS suit (not like baggy ski pants). She reports that she is definitely warmer when she wear these.

I ordered the jacket to match. Both items a try thin but were perfect for our Florida outing in Feb when the temps were in the 70s. This set came is handy. It was not too heavy and thick nor was it too thin. It is a waffle texture and has a good amount of stretch. The pants are an elastic waist and easy to put on and take off. The pants are a medium and per the chart it is size 10-12. My grand daughter in the picture is only 6 and the pants fit fine (which is odd). They were very long but as far as the waist, they were like they were made just for her so my suggestion would be to order up. The pants are super cute and I was overjoyed when matched with the jacket. My grand daughter received many compliments while wearing it.Very pleased

This set of base layer pants fits great and is so warm! I recommend going a size up as these are little tighter than expected and I should have known. The outer material is soft and stretchy while the inner material has like a light fleece feel to it. The pants fit pretty great as an under layer to keep me warm when out and about during the colder months. I sometimes wear these on their own, but just around the house.

Excellent stretchy warm fabric with a quality tight weave. Medium fits my small 10yo well. The fit is probably best suited for slim kids.-The fabric is thin so don't expect a huge amount of warmth by itself. For very cold weather, it would serve great as a thermal underlayment. For milder temps, it would be fine with nothing on top.-Not totally sure this would be appropriate to wear by itself but it works great as an underlayment or as tights with a dress or skirt covering it.-Fuchsia color looks great.-Goes well with the matching fuchsia Arctix top which is also of excellent quality.

These leggings are soo cute! I love the vibrant color and waistband. The material is a bit thin when stretched. I also like the length of these pants because my daughter has long legs. However, the leggings are cut big. I would size down.

I got this base layer leggings for my daughter to wear under her leggings for ice skating. They're a nice warm base layer, but my daughter and I are not overly thrilled with the texture of the material for these pants. It's an odd waffle kind of texture but the lining feels scratchy to me. My daughter says the material feels odd against her skin, but she does find it to be nice and warm.

I was expecting a little more for a base layer! These are less thick than a standard pair of winter tights. They are soft and comfortable with a wide waistband but they are definitely not winter-wear.Also, they are made of polyester which is highly flammable. I wouldn't let my kid play around the firepit in these.In terms of sizing, the medium fits my skinny 9 year old niece.

I've been getting good reports on these long johns: simple, a lot like the name brand ones we've used, and a standard waistband that doesn't annoy. Note child sized, not for adults.
