These are great all purpose pants. Nice fit and comfortable. I wear them for just about any occasion and they go well with T-shirts. Or dress shirts. The pockets don’t seem to durable, but I don’t expect much there for the price. I’m 5’ 9” 205 lbs.

The size I got is too big and for that reason alone, I gave it 1 star. The material is decent and feels lightweight but because it won't fit me, I am unable to review this properly.

This is the latest in a line of affordable quality outdoor gear from Arctix (not to be confused with Arc'teryx, an unrelated higher end brand you might also have heard of). These pants are a full-length hiking companion designed with extra pockets for gear storage and a comfortable, flexible stretch material that allows full freedom of movement while providing full protection against insects and sun.The aesthetics of these are definitely 'pacific northwest action hero'. The particular shade of brown they chose is often associated with hiking gear, and I could have done without the large embroidered Arctix logo. I wouldn't be embarrassed to wear these to a nice gastropub evening meal after a hike, but I also don't think I'd make them my everyday work pants, either. I do like how the thigh pockets are concealed and low profile when not in use - they give these a sleeker appearance, particularly with the angled, integrated concealed zipper.From a quality and construction perspective, these were pretty good, but not perfect - there were several loose strings I needed to trim, especially around the pocket zippers and fly. Not the end of the world, but they did amplify the casual appearance of these and I liked them better once I snipped them off.

I generally like this style of pants, and usually got for something from Wrangler's ATG line that are similar. These from Arctix are nice, and seem well made. The stitching is all nice and uniform with few loose ends. Overall they look like a quality item. They fit me well, and about the same as my usual pants in the same size, no surprised there. I like the soft lined waist band, and that the pockets are deep enough to hold my phone and other items with little risk of them falling out. The velcro closure on the rear pockets are a little annoying, mostly because I'm not used to it being there. I like the additional zippered pockets on the side, and the zippers seem well made. The rubber coating on the zipper pulls is a nice touch. Nothing to complain about especially considering the price point!

Ordered a pair of these Arctix Men's Vertical Hiking Pants in Black for my spouse. I went with his typical size: 32W x 32L - he found it true to size and the pants fit well, though wanted to note that the pants were a bit more fitted in the bum area (something to take into consideration if you tend to store your wallet, etc. in the rear pants pockets). He found the pants fit nicely for taking the dog out for a hike and he was able to comfortably wear his wallet in the rear pocket.These pants work well for hiking and walking the dog - light, breathable, and have a very slight bootcut (or, just are not super tapered) that fits well over typical hiking boots or sneakers. I'll note that on the first wear, there was a loose stitch (pictured in the attached photo). These are solid hiking pants, simply noting that they are somewhat more fitted in the bum area (and may be more of an issue if you're preference is to store multiple items in the rear pockets).

I love the color of these nice tech fabric hiking pants. I’m 6’ 160lbs and wear a 32x32 99% of the time. The cut of these pants are a touch too tight across the hips and thighs for my liking. I feel like I’m trying to show off my package and rear end, I wish there was a little more room. If you have something in your front pocket like keys of chapstick, the pants are uncomfortable because of how tight the leg is in that area. Each leg has a roomy zippered cargo pocket and the back has two zelcro pockets with just enough room for a wallet. But again, with a wallet in, the pants feel too tight. These will be nice to wear in a casual walk/hike or for cool mornings while camping. More than that I probably won’t wear them much because I did like the fit for my body.

The color is perfect for outdoor, the pants are stretchable. Only one design flaw and the treason that I am returning it, the thigh are is too tight for daily wear, and it is even worse when I’m sitting down. A little disappointed!
