When I swam competitively I typically wore a 30" but these days I'm around a 33". Expected as I've gained some weight over the years. So to be safe I ordered a 34". I was almost expecting them to be a little too big but they ended being right at the correct size. Slightly tight but not enough to warrant me saying they were too small. Material and feel is on par with other brands such as Speedo or TYR. I wasn't too concerned with the print as no print on these types of suits looks good outside of just being solid. The thing that struck me the most was how bikini like these were. I almost felt like I was literally indulging some sort of hidden fetish wearing these. I get that they are not meant to be a drag suit or jammers but come on, the design just seems way smaller of a cut than what I am used to. It's either that or I've been out of the game too long and can't remember how tiny these are supposed to look.Needless to say, I'd be pretty embarrassed to wear these even if it were for training. These do provide a good 1st layer with a drag suit over them for more meaningful workouts. All in all, not a bad suit but not so sure I'd recommend these simply because of the way they are designed.....to make you look, shall I say....interesting?

I usually stick to jammers, but the unique design and features of this swim brief caught my eye, so I decided to give it a try. I'm really fond of the zebra pattern, although I should mention that the stripes are more of a cream color than a bright white. Regardless, they fit me perfectly and looked fantastic.I appreciate that at least 50% of the polyester used is recycled, and the fabric provides UV and chlorine resistance, which is a big plus for me.I didn't encounter any problems with these briefs and intend to wear them more frequently at the pool.

I don't have especially strong brand loyalty for swimsuits and I've been happy with my Arena suits in the past. I'm a bit bigger these days so have sized up and found this suit fits well. As this is a training suit, the colors are not as bright or vibrant as my previous Arena suit (pictured below this new one) but that suit is more "performance" oriented without as much fabric weight or lining and from experience, I know will break down far faster than this MaxLife practice suit.

Great brand and high-quality product, but be sure to check the sizing chart carefully! I found out a little too late that their size 38 is actually their 31. Even though Amazon recommended a 38, make sure to check the chart. While I love the look and durability of Arenas, the sizing issue was a big letdown for me. The material is excellent, and it's perfect for regular pool training, but the size discrepancy means I can’t enjoy them as much. Double-check the size chart before ordering to avoid disappointment.

This is a really cool suit that shows your bold style on the deck and in the water. Some competitive swimmers prefer the feel of briefs to jammers and this neon zebra stripe pattern is so fun. I was a little nervous about the white background being see-through but the front is lined with the navy blue backer material. Arena makes high quality suits that withstand the regular use by swimmers that are in the water every day. The material is thick and stretchy and very durable with chlorine resistance. This style cut provides support, and has drawstrings for added security at the waist. This type of suit has to fit just right so if you are new to the brand double check the size chart before ordering.

I have never before owned/used an Arena swim suit, but I have a number of Speedo swim briefs that are very similar in style (the Speedo Solar Brief--I've provided a side-by-side photo of this brief vs the Speedo Solar for comparison purposes) so I ordered the same size that I wear in the Speedos I have, which is size 34. My waist size is about 32 (and I'm 5'10 and about 150-155 lbs) depending on time of year, which is a bit bigger than Arena's stated specs for a size 34, but my hips are a bit smaller than Arena's specs for size 34, and given the cut of this suit, I think that hip measurement is more relevant than true waist size.Anyhow, this suit fits me just as I would expect and want it to and about the same as the Speedo Solar Briefs in a size 34. The cut is similar, though the Arena has a slightly taller waist band at the hips, as shown in my photo.I have no major complaints about this suit, the construction and fabrics seem fine, the front pouch is lined for modesty, and there's a drawstring inside for security. However, like another reviewer, I was disappointed to discover that the "white" in the front design of the suit is really more like an ivory--it's not a true, clean bright white. I don't know if Arena was going for a retro look (possible) or just designing it with the anticipation in mind that a clean white would end up getting dingy over time so they might as well not fight it, but to me it just doesn't look as good as it would if it was a real white. The design does a fairly good job of providing camouflage of any, ahem, shadow lines that might be created in the front pouch by whatever you're packing.
