I ordered this basement window to replace a rotted wooden window that was there. It was installed not as they recommend but such that the pane opens from the bottom instead of opening from the top. This allows easier opening and better access for things that are brought through the window. In our case it was split firewood. To do this the mounting strip was easily removed and two small side wood pieces were used at the sides. The install went smoothly. The window is double pane, closes firmly as to not allow any draft in. I will buy this window again.

Entire window is actually 35.5”x19.5” with a removable vinyl installation fin on both sides and bottom. Frame is about 3” wide and includes a nice screen.Good item.

I like the windows but the plastic which holds the latch was broken on one of the windows.
