I received the Arkbird dark brown (111) Mens Chelsea Chukka Ankle Boots with zipper yesterday and liked the shoe style very much. Unfortunately, the shoes I ordered and received, which was 9.5 inches in length, arrived as size 12.5 inch shoes! After returning these shoes, I rechecked the sizing chart and realized I completely misread it and ordered a second pair which, according to the chart, should be 7 inches in length to properly match my actual 9.5 inch sized feet. The second pair of shoes arrived yesterday and fit perfectly which I was grateful to see. Moral of the story: Carefully read the sizing chart to insure you're accurately translating your american inch-based shoe size into the Arkbird measuring system!

Just over a month wearing them about twice a week and the zipper broke. I try to fix and it just pops open again. Of course It's two days after return cut off date.

I love these boots. The fit was perfect. They look great. Out of the box the leather was soft and they are so comfy. I ordered the black boots right away after trying these.

I got a pair of the textures leather that does not include a zippered side. While that is specifically what I wanted, I'm noticing that a zipper would add a lot of ease of use to these otherwise good shoes.The shoes are attractive and seemingly well built. They are comfortable to wear for several hours, including walking, but they do have their limits. The insole seems thin, or maybe there is some layer of the sole that is missing that would be present on a more premium shoe. For what you pay, it is a good value. I'm not a huge fan of the boxy laces they're packaged with. The pull tabs on the back for pulling your shoe on are not big enough to actually put my finger through, so they end up useless. My last criticism would to be adding a small roll of extra material at the top of the ankle. When breaking in the shoes, the edge of the ankle would dig into my leg. It could've been padded out a bit to offer overall comfort and ease break-in.

On delivery and for the first few months of almost daily use the boot is comfortable and a perfect pair to your outfit.Unfortunately the low craftsmanship starts to show very quickly as the thin string used to stich the body of the boot together starts to come apart. The toe cap stitching went first and revealed that the boot is very loosely constructed and then the entire side started to come apart revealing that the leather is not actually stitched to the sole but glued down.I got a year and some change out of them which wouldnt be so bad if the price point were around 10-20% lower.I have a pair of Stacey Adams that i bought for about the same price that show 0 of the same wear issues.Verdict:Cheap boot that will work well in a pinch or as a last minute wedding or interview shoe but you are better off spending a little more for better workmanship or a little less for an expected throw away boot.

Good looking casual boots. Others have posted about it eventually coming apart at the seam at the toe part, I sure hope not as it really is a smart looking boot. Fits a little longer if you're not used to that type of style, makes it a little more dressier. Out of the box they fit great, with time I'm sure they'll feel better. I would definitely recommend for the price and style.

These are great value, great quality for the price. But that's the key, "for the price", you get what you pay for. The leather upper is really nice, soft inner, nice colour and seems well made. The lower quality is the sole, yes they are comfortable but the sole does not look like it is going to last. Very cheap construction and materials. The type of materials used for the sole will highly likely wear down very quickly. It's just cheap compressed foam and rubber, this doesn't wear very well. The stitching (where the sole meets the leather upper) is fake, they are not stitched they are just glued. The stitching is purely for aesthetics. How well is that glue going to hold up? Only time will tell, I don't have great hopes for it though. But, for the money, they're still good. They look great. I just don't see them lasting very long with regular use. Like I said, you get what you pay for. If you want boots that are going to last you years, then you need to pay $400+ for some quality boots.
