This is the perfect spring shirt. The color is a beautiful lilac purple. The design of the shirt allows it to work as either casual or dressy. It's true to size and the large fits my 11 year old well. I would definitely buy another color!

My daughter tossed this shirt on the moment it arrived. She said it's soft and "cool looking" and that she didn't want to take it off. That's a mom-win! She is very tall and thin for her age (8), and the size 7-8 worked well. It didn't ride up her belly like so many shirts do, but hit right at her waist; I would imagine it would be a little longer on shorter kids. And the fit was pretty loose around the torso.

​14+ year old recipient is petite and of slight build. She is 58" tall, weighs 70 lbs., has a 22" waist.First thing I noticed when I opened the package is that the capped sleeves are made out of a very different material from the rest of the shirt, which means that the color of the sleeves do not match the body of the shirt. I don't think my kiddo cares, but I would not wear it. (I tried to get a photo of the difference, but I don't think it showed well)In all honesty, I am tired of these off-brand "companies" having crazy size charts and then when you get the item you still can't figure out what their chart meant or the measurements are way off.... Back to the review.The measurements on the size chart did not seem to be consistent (ie: circumference vs flat). So in ordering, I went with the "center back length" because that measurement seemed straightforward.The chart said it was 21.3", center back length; but when it arrived it wasn't. In reality it was 1cm over 22", which is almost a full inch longer. The "back bust" measurement (I believe is across the chest) was also .5" bigger. That may not be much to us, adults, but to a petite girl, it makes a huge difference. For my 14.5 year old, I should have bought a size 9-10. The shirt is really big on her, in all the ways. The sleeves sit over 2 inches away from her arms which gives football-pad vibes. It is too long, too wide. *sigh* Maybe she will fit it in a year.​Measurements of the size 10-11, laying flat are as follows... (pictured)- 9.5" arm hole opening (again laying flat, so double that for the circumference),- 15.5" underarm to underarm,- 21" across bottom hem,- 22" (+1cm) from the shoulder to bottom hem,- 18" from middle-front to bottom hem.I would not purchase this again.

This shirt is so soft. That was the first thing I noticed about it. Buttery smooth and soft fabric. It's a beautiful bold vibrant red with the cutest sleeve details. It's like a scalloped sleeve, but with lace trip...adorable! I would get this shirt in other colors! My daughter is a 4/5T and I got a 5-6T and fit well with a little room to grow. No complaints!
