Heavy , awkward and clunky , hook to brake pedal needs a sharper bend . Would be OK for work van or truck , not for nice car . Keys and lock are above average ... quality wise .

At first I thought it was defective because the screw part slid out freely and seemed to not be engaged. Turns out this is OK you just need to start screwing and it engages and shortens. Build quality seems good and strong. Also prefer this type to the steering wheel only types which could accidentally harm your window or windshield. Lastly the lock is important. This lock type is better IMO than the other more new experimental ones on competing tools. There is a X shaped one and a real thin opening one that requires a very thin likely fragile key. This thin lock style has reviews where the key has become stuck also.The lock on this tool is proven technology and has drill protection to boot. I have some interests in locks and it would be interesting for the Lock Lawyer on youtube to test these various locks. The only question I have is if the keys can be replaced if lost. These units are made overseas. The keys do have a number code engraved on them. Overall I rate this item as a good investment to protect your vehicle. Do measurements before you buy.

I DON'T USUALLY LEAVE REVIEWS, however this thing is just trash . 1st of all the hook that goes around thebrake pedal does NOT lock into place, it just freely moves around and flops back and forth. A child canjust easily move this device from the brake pedal ? This thing is poorly engineered and cheaply made2nd its made too short to fit all cars and trucks. the screw adjustment is a total joke , it will come apartin your hand if you keep trying to "adjust" the length it . This is worst than flee market merchandise. Ibasically have a $63 paper weight in my car now ! I just pray a professional car thief doesn't recognizethis worthless amazon pedal lock inside my car, and just hops in remove it from the brake pedal anddrives away with my classic car. This is unbelievable an empire like amazon would sell trash like thisto unsuspecting consumers . shame on you.

We were sugges to get a steering wheel to pedal lock as the best theft deterrent for The Hyundai/Kia theft fiasco. Our car was broken into and the thief TRIED to get it started but I guess it wasn't as easy as it looked online. Still, we had to wait 2 months for our parts and repairs, so we checked around and were told to get this style for our car. Relatively easy to use (make sure the hook is firmly around the brake pedal arm FIRST, then lock your steering wheel to the side and pull the bar (with the shackle OPEN) and wrap the shackle around the steering wheel then lock it secure. It can be seen from the road for anyone who's looking in, and fingers crossed, we've had good luck with it as a deterrent thus far.

I am very pleased to add this super sturdy layer of protection to my vehicle. The design is simple, hook around the brake pedal and slip through the steering wheel. What it does best is slow the bad guy down and have them move along because it’s easily visible through the window.

Generally impressed with this lock; has a decent quality feel to. It is a slightly difficult device to fit, in my Fiat Abarth 124 Spider (a.k.a. Mazda MX-5 Mk4) but that's probably due to the 'nature' of cars like mine. Make sure you measure your car, very carefully, before ordering, as the device, even in fully extended 'mode', is not especially long.Overall, I would recommend this product (especially if you buy it, as I did, from Amazon Returns).
