I use these wonderful boxes for three things - as "bookcases" for my collection of miniature books, to store my EPP segments before stitching them together, and to display my handmade buttons in. They are sturdy, easy to open, and perfect for my needs.

For me, I discovered years ago the beauty and usefulness of these bobbin holders. I keep the 50wt Aurifil thread spools in each cavity with its accompanying bobbin, and then tape a list of the threads in the bobbin holder with color name and color number. The 40wt Aurifil thread spools do not fit, however, because the lid won't close over them. I like to visually see the colors; this product allows me to do so. I keep these bobbin sets separately id'd with Aurifil for my quilting, and id'd with polyester threads for sewing clothes and craft sewing. I care not to store my thread spools and bobbins uncovered because they inevitably accumulate dust which is why I absolutely love this product.

These AirBin 8156AB containers are also good for sorting and storing beads. i keep my flat clay beads for jewelry making in these containers. Nicely sorted by color and easy to see contents through the clear container. Perfect.

Using to store Longarm bobbins of the same color in each section with label of the color of the thread.Sometime wind more thread than I need will use in the future

Great for the "many" bobbins I have. i needed something to hold the many bobbins for my Singer Stitch and Sew machine. The smaller two piece bobbins fit just fine. I have about 50 bobbins and this is great.

This will hold a lot of bobbins, but it's HUGE! The slots are big enough for regular size SPOOLS of thread. So the bobbins roll all around and turn sideways and it's just not something that will work for me. It needs to have narrow enough slots to keep bobbins from rolling and turning sideways and it needs to be short enough then to be able to reach in and get the bobbins out. HOWEVER..... the box is really nice. I kept it a few days trying to figure out something else I can use it for, but I just can't think of anything else I need it for, so I am returning it. I gave it 3 stars simply because it's not practical to store bobbins in. The box itself can have 5 stars if only I had something else I could store in it.Each slot is approximately 1-3/16" wide x 3-7/8" long. My bobbins are 3/4" diameter. That's a lot of room for them to get all out of line!!

This item is ideal for keeping 48 wound bobbins in so that you do not have to keep winding them when needed. It can also be used to keep assorted coloured and sized buttons in, small crayons for the children, beads if you are a jewellery maker etc. etc. A very versatile product.
