Here in the desert I wanted shade cloth for the roof of my new "pergola" and was thrilled to find this one in a perfect 8'x8' size. I opted for screws and washers to attach it, but the bungies and zipties that came with it are very nice and I'm sure I'll find a use for them.

Perfect fit for our 10 X 10 wood pergola. I thought it wasn't the right size to work at first until I got brave enough to really stretch the bungee ball fastners around the 2 x 6 framing. I like the way they supply cord, bungee balls and reusable zip ties. I opted for this type of shade instead of a waterproof one because I thought it would allow the circulation of air and allow the heat to flow through. I live in California's Central Valley and we have pretty hot summers with lots of triple digit temp days.

This spring we got seven chicks, a nice coop and an 8‘ x 8‘ run. I got to thinking about maybe we should put a shade over that run in case there were a few hot days here in southeastern North Carolina. So far there’s been nothing *but* hot days and my spousal unit got that shade up in the nick of time! He chose zip ties to secure it in place instead of the things that came with it so I can’t speak about ease of install using those parts but the shade has metal grommets and it’s holding up against the windy days. Blocks out the hot sun from above keeping our little flock a bit more comfortable in our mid 90 temps. This shade is perfect for this application.

I put this on top of an old pergola to provide a little shade. It’s not bad for the price. It does allow some light to get through but it was easy to install and came with zip ties, rope and bungee cords to secure it.

Liked that it had double sewed seams; grommets evenly spaced; and came with zip ties, bungee connections and cords. Made installation easier. Thanks for a great product.
