I drag my garden hose out almost daily to water my plants. The problem I kept having it it would catch on my gutter downspout and cause it to hang or bend my downspout. I would have to go back to the hose reel and let out more slack. Not a big deal to do that but it is annoying when you just want the hose reel to do its job. I placed these at each of my catch points and now the hose rolls out without any issue. I’ve had other versions made of plastic and they never hold up. This is made of an alloy metal with plastic/rubber rollers. The spike that goes into the ground is staying in place very well so far. I’ve only had these for a couple of weeks so we will see how well they hold up to the weather and the pulling of the garden hose through it over time.
