I picked this up for double heddle weaving and it’s perfect. My yarn was a bit closer to 12wpi but two these heddles were fine for that. I recommend picking up the Ashford wax (Amazon carries it) and treat these with it. They’re sensitive to moisture otherwise.They’re very sturdy. I have a bad habit of dropping them, to no issue. They’re perfectly smooth and I can use them with silk yarn, even hand spun silk.

Make sure to choose the right size that you need before you buy it. The package comes in one piece (size) only, and it fits my 16" loom perfectly.Thank you.
