My many Tiffany-style lamps are mostly from the arts and craft period. Finials are critical components, and it is SO easy to overwhelm your lamp with a too-big or too-fancy finial. This one is perfect for large table lamps and even my floor lamp. Aspen Creative's engineering and manufacturing are second to none.

These finials are very contemporary and stylish, but they also have incredibly sharp points and edges. I don’t even have children and I’m still afraid to use them on anything shorter than 6 1/2 feet for fear of what might happen in the event of an accidental slip or fall in their general direction. They are also extremely dense and heavy. Would be great for self-defense. Purchase with caution!

The actual size of these Finials are: 1" high and 3/4" cube size wide. The stated size is larger than actual.

These finials are a simple chunky design that are not industrial looking. They are a nice, solid weight and will look good as caps for the long pole I plan to display Japanese obi from. One caveat though - I bought the oil rubbed bronze finish which would look very quite attractive if they had not arrived shoved in one plastic bag with no other protection. Both of my finials are badly scratched and chipped. I planned on painting them so this doesn’t bother me, but watch out for this. Note to seller: for goodness sake, wrap these individually!

I received these today and they are perfect....except the bronze finish is chipping off along the edges to reveal white below (plastic??). I have not been able to find other rectangle/square finials, and they look best with the lamp base, so they'll have to do - but I'm super bummed about the finish. : /
