The ASR Outdoor Metal Detector Hand Trowel is a very durable and reliable hand tool that is crafted from high abrasive ABS plastic which makes it not only strong and durable, but also lightweight and easy to use. The main benefit of using a non-metal hand trowel is that while it is a composite/plastic (no metal) design makes it great because you can use a pin pointer metal detector on the dirt that is still in the shovel without getting false positive readings from the metal detecting pin pointer.
The ideal use for this is for when metal detecting in the field to get scoops out of a dug hole and then swept with a pin pointer to determine if the object that the metal detector sounded off for is in the trowel. You can't do this with a metal trowel! Each trowel features a four inch measuring scale on the scoop so you can control the depth of your digging. This hand trowel is extremely versatile and can be used in multiple types of terrain including lawn and garden applications as well as tough desert bedrock. The plastic hand trowel also features a rubberized thumb grip handle that will ensure unmatched comfort and ease of use.

This is a perfect little plastic hand shovel for gold prospecting for metal detecting because you can run the shovel over the coil with dirt in it and your gold nuggets and the shovel won't beep because it's plastic
