My Milescraft 1318 drill guide came with a small 3/8" chuck. I wanted to upsize to a 1 /2" chuck but I needed a 1 /2" chuck with a 3 /8-24 UNF mount screw to match the Milescraft OEM 3/8" chuck mount. This chuck does exactly that. This chuck can be used to convert any 3/8" electric drill to a 1 /2" drill. Attached photo shows the JC12 chuck mounted on my Milescraft drill guide. The loose chuck is the OEM 3/8" chuck.Note: The chuck I received doesn't exactly match the photo in the Amazon Astro JC12 ad but I don't care as it does exactly what I want it to do.

Ordered a 1/2 x 24 thread and received a 3/8 x 24 instead. 1/2 x 24 is a discontinued size. Don't know if they assumed I meant 3/8 or just weren't paying attention.

This product is mislabeled. It is NOT a 1/2-24 thread chuck. It is 3/8-24. I've notified the company yet still it is shown wrong here and on their website. NOT 1/2-24!!!
