does not take 2500 easily they are mainly rated for 1200w or lower however I have a 400 dollar kicker 1200.1 class d amp on it and at 75 % volume bass turned all the way down on headunit and amp gain set at half way it's slapping I'm afraid to turn up all the way bc it may blow the speakers they getting warm from 1200 watts of power my amp may be too much

This sub can’t barely take half volume on a power acoustik 2500 amp only rated at 650w rms at the 2 ohms it’s wired at. I have two subs, one per amp. So this is not a fluke I don’t think. If you don’t have any recommendations you gotta revise the ratings. They start getting really smelly at half volume with the gains turned all the way down as well as bass boost knob on the amp(aside from half way up on the remote bass knobs).
