So the boom arm has a 3/8 male threaded end for the mic holder however the mic holder that came with the unit is a 5/8 female. Other sets come with the adapter however no adapter was given. If you purchase this set make sure you also buy the threaded adapter.

As the title states, the mic boom does not match the mic. I am in touch with the seller to see if they have the adapter needed.Problem 1 - I have attached 2 pictures that I have also sent to the customer support. As the other reviewer states - the mic boom has a small connector that doesn't fit the Q2U and requires an adapter. The first picture is obviously photo-shopped to put the Q2U at the end of the boom. The second picture shows the original mic with the adapter -noted by the green arrow.Problem 2 - The cord on the boom does not fit the Q2U. The Q2U uses a mini-USB and the cord has a square USB-B connector. The mic does come with its own usb cord so this is a minor issue.As for the boom itself - it seems decent, but right now I can't properly use it to see if will hold it's position with the mic in place. The connecting bracket is deep enough to fit on my 2 inch shelf.Good 1 - I purchased this combo on 1/6/24 and received on 1/10/24 which is a point in the good column.Good 2 - Price point - the reason I bought this combo.Good 3 - The Samson Q2U is as advertised.
