Mise à jour : après un mois d'utilisation, toujours aussi contant de mon achat, j'ai allégé la force d'appuis la passant de 3 g à 2.2 et réglant l'antiskating en conséquence. Je suis toujours dans la marge de tolérance mais les dernières pistes des disques sonnent bien mieux. De plus je pense que l'usure de mes disques sera réduite.Par rapport à mon ancienne at-xp3, je dirai que l’investissement vaut le coup. Meilleure définition notamment dans les fréquences médium- aiguës. Les basses roulent moins mais tout ça n’est histoire que de ressenti. Bonne dynamique.Niveau de sortie plus élevéPlus exigeant avec la qualité des vynil.J’ai du régler la position de la cellule sur le porte cellule de manière identique à celle livrée avec la platine (at-140xp)

Way too much output. Have had to pad it down by 20dB to prevent preamp overload. Robust and well constructed, but not really hi-fi I'm afraid.

upgrade from ortofon clubs with the eliptical needles. these have a better midrange clearer brighter wider sound.

The cartridge provides a nice clear sound at all frequenies, but compared to other cartridges at the same price, you can do better. It is nice dont get me wrong, but it is jsut high price for this item. I will keep it now that I have it, but will be on my 3rd table not my 1st.

Pros:Sounds nicer than the AT-XP5 it's replacingCons:Takes some fiddling in order to get it sounding goodCostNot as pretty as the AT-XP5Other Thoughts:It took about 2 hours of messing around to get it sounding real good, at first I thought I got a bad one, but I kept adjusting it and it came alive.I'm sure if I did this sort of thing regularly it wouldn't seem to daunting.At the end of it all it has a nice sound stage and the music comes alive with greater presence than the AT-XP5.

The other half of the biggest improvement is the Tube Pre Amp, they are a pair in my experience. This made a bigger difference than I even hoped for. But, I did use a scale to weigh the arm, as well as a blank LP tracking disc to equalize the skip force.

Really love how this stylus sound. Was previously using the classic Shure M447 cart but I find it tends to sizzle a bit on the highs for some records. But with this XP7 everything seems to sound smoother.
