Note
- Thermocouple and tilt switch defect is just one reason, it cannot solve all defect problem of your heater. So firstly you have to exclude other possibilities of the defect and if need to replace the part above then choose this. Sometime the gas valve need to be replaced as well.
- Make sure the thermocoupler is well connected with the dump switch.
- Make sure the thermocouple head is already in right position and heated by the flame all ways ( if cannot heated by flame sometimes, thermocoupler easy shut off and fire goes out.
- Hold your valve and let it lit for 5-30 seconds then release your hands. Or it may not heated with enough time and fire goes out after heat for a while during your holding.

The thermocouple in my East Oak patio heater bit the dust and was out of warranty. This one looked exactly like it so I ordered it. No big risk as it wasn't pricey and was returnable fir 30 days if it didn't fit. It arrived quickly and was an exact replacement! Heater works like new now.

The Thermocouple was a great replacement for my Paramount patio heater. I got the Anti-Tilt Switch because replacing both seemed sensible to do at the same time. I will be ordering the Thermocouple again.

This is what appears to be a generic part for propane heaters. Other thermocouples ordered and subsequently returned because of wrong descriptions, could not be used. This part however was easy to install and performed as it should. The "dump" switch was better than the OEM. I am very satisfied with Amazon's return policy with the other items realizing that Amazon does not have control over the initial posting of a product but does all it can to remedy a situation.
