The colors in actuality are much darker than pictured onAmazon. $40 for a spool of cotton thread is overpriced.

I received a different color than what the product image was. I'm returning it- I didn't need a big cone of primary colors. The image is more grey/purply, so that's why I originally bought it. I'm giving 2 stars, only because of the color not matching the image. Otherwise, Aurifil is a wonderful brand.

Cannot sew more than a few feet without the thread breaking. I even struggled with breakage while loading the bobbin.I have other variegated thread I’ve used without issue.

Don't order this thread. I trusted the Aurifil brand but this is junk, unusable for quilting. It broke every 2 minutes on the quilting machine. If you pull it, it breaks easily. I changed thread and quilted the quilt with no problems, the problem was this expensive thread.

False advertising. A 6452 yard cone sticker is on a spool. These spools only have about 1400 yards. I have been ripped off by this vender. The 36.00 spool is sitting next to a Aurefil cone. Not even close in size. I gave one star for this vendorUpdate: thank you to Amazon for issuing a refund on this item.

I'm a huge fan of Aurofil thread, and it is the only one that I buy. This is my first time buying a large cone. It has 4.53 times more thread than it's little sister--but it is not 4.53 times the price. So if you are doing alot of sewing (as many of us are making masks), please consider getting a cone and save yourself some money! This variegated, though it looks weird, is perfect for colorful batiks. Give it some consideration. Happy sewing!
