About this item

  • FAST GROWING TREES: Austree Hybrid plants grow fast at rate of 6-10 feet per year with a maximum height of 50-75 feet. But they can be trimmed to remain low and dense. Branches of hybrid willow trees are slim, and leaves have slender green peaks. They have dense branches like a willow bush. They are very eye-catching and unique. If you are tired of the typical tree, these beautiful trees are the perfect fit
  • Privacy and windbreaks: Due to its dense foliage and rapid growth, the Austree Hybrid Willow serves as an excellent natural privacy screen or windbreak. Planting a row of these trees can help block unwanted views, reduce noise, and protect your property from strong winds.
  • Soil erosion control: The extensive root system of the Austree Hybrid Willow makes it an effective solution for controlling soil erosion, particularly in areas prone to water runoff or on slopes. The roots help stabilize the soil and prevent it from being washed away during heavy rains.
  • EASY TO GROW: These are very low maintenance. Hybrid willow trees have a healthy root system that supports their rapid growth but are not invasive and produce oxygen which filters the air. If you only have space to grow one tree, you should grow this one. It reduces the effect of noise and controls erosion. These hybrid live trees will provide quick landscaping, shade, or privacy.
  • FORMS A WIND BREAK: Austree Hybrid Willow Trees form effective windbreaks, especially when used in a mixed planting with evergreen shrubs and trees. Because they grow so fast and reach heights of up to 70 feet, Hybrid Willow Trees form windbreaks quickly.
  • Tolerates Wet Soil: Wet soil can mean the death of most plants because standing water can cause roots to rot. But Austree Hybrid Willow Trees thrive in moist soils without sustaining any adverse effects of root rot, which means they can be planted along ponds, streams and in low-lying areas of your yard where rain collects.
  • GROW TIPS: When the trees arrive place them in a bucket of water 5 inches deep. Prepare a bed with mulch. Plant or push the trees in the ground 6 iches deep. Water them alot, they love water and will grow according to how much water you give them. We water newly planted trees every other day, or use a drip line irrigation.

Nature's Soldiers Against Soil Erosion

soil erosion control

Soil erosion is a major concern, leading to loss of valuable topsoil and impacting the health of our nature. Hybrid willow trees can be powerful allies in the fight against erosion, offering a natural solution. Here's how:

Fast-Growing Anchors:

  • Rapid Root Development: Hybrid willows boast exceptional growth rates, especially their root systems. These strong and extensive roots quickly penetrate the soil, binding it together and preventing it from being washed away by wind or water.
  • Erosion Control Champions: This dense network of roots acts like a natural barrier, anchoring the soil and minimizing its displacement by wind or heavy rainfall. In areas prone to landslides, hybrid willows can provide additional stability.

These willow tree starts grow fast, about 6 feet in the first year. A year later they are 12 feet tall and 8 feet wide. They take a lot of water to achieve this growth
