Drive 2019 Suburban with 285/45-R22. There isn’t much wheel clearance… bought these and threw them on all 4 tires on our recent trip to Idaho ,14” of snow on steep snowfloor roads. Worked great! No rubbing no damage to the wheel well. My wife even cranked the steering wheel all the way over while backing up… but no rubbing or contact by the chains. Very happy with this purchase. And they weren’t even very expensive!! Easy to install. I mean it took more than 22 seconds… but it was still very easy to install and remove. Fit my tires as advertised, which, fitting and not being too bulky that it damaged my car was my worry. But these were exactly the right product.

My specific tire size wasn't listed so I had to make a "best guess". I lucked out and the chains fit perfectly. First attempt to mount them in the garage (practice run) was a little frustrating until I figured it out. Then the chains went on in 2 or 3 minutes (per tire). Not horrible / not spectacular. Acceptable. I added rubber straps to add tension on the outboard side of the tire and that seemed to add some stability, although the chains by themselves seemed okay. The auto tensioning mechanism took a little getting used to but appear to do the job. Whether or not they last more than a few uses is the question. Just have to wait and see I guess. Haven't tried them on the road yet; I try to avoid driving in snow when I can. These chains were purchased with the intent of being used in a situation where I was already out and about, and the conditions deteriorated to where chains were required. I live on a curvy, hilly street that never gets salted or plowed (rural neighborhood), and getting home without chains would be impossible if the road surface is icy or covered with packed down snow. These things give me a little reassurance that I wouldn't have to spend the night out on the road instead of in my warm and toasty bed. Bought two sets, even though my Tacoma prerunner is 2WD; wouldn't help to have motive traction with no steering or braking. The 25-30 mph specified maximum speed for these chains is reasonable. The chains themselves look well made and adequate for the task at hand. Great alternative to studded tires or dedicated snow tires (which really wouldn't help so much on ice).
