Most of the time replacing a transmission filter is spent removing the transmission pan and draining the fluid, it's not a difficult process.
If you are comfortable with removing the pan, popping out the old filter and installing a new filter, and then using the correct pan gasket to reseal the transmission.

What a big difference. Old transmission filter was clogged causing the pump to whine . After installing new filter, noise went away and shifts like new. I used a brass wire wheel to remove factory sealant from transmission oil pan and a small bristle brush to remove any sealant from transmission. Just coat rubber gasket with a small amount of grease on both sides.

The gasket in this transmission filter kit DOES NOT fit. Mazda doesn’t even have a filter for a 2021 CX-30. You will have to buy a sealant and make your own. Sealant I bought needs 24 hours to cure so plan on almost two days without the use of the car if you are a weekend mechanic.

The strainer or filter fits well but unfortunately the gasket had 3 holes on one side that were anywhere from 1- 1 1/2 inch off so the gasket was unusable.2018 Mazda CX-5

had to Run to the Autoparts store on a Sunday and get Sealant for the transmission pad.
