This coop door has been extremely disappointing. I've had it for a few months and I tried so hard to make it work as advertised because, first of all, it was not easy to install. The holes for the screws are so close to both the door and the edge that there is no room for error. I ended up creating a frame to mount it on and then attaching the whole thing to the coop. But I can deal with that. What I cannot comprehend is why the door doesn't open and shut when it is scheduled to. Sometimes it does, but usually it doesn't. I have checked all of the clock and timing settings multiple times, and everything looks right. But it rarely opens or shuts on the schedule. I could also work with this if the app worked properly and I could just connect and remotely open or shut the door. However, the app struggles to connect to the door 90% of the time, despite having a strong wifi signal at both the coop and on my phone. It is also a poor design that you have to be able to connect to the live camera feed to connect to any settings or see if the door is open or shut. And many times the accuracy of whether or not the door is open is incorrect.And my final issue is the battery. This is supposed to be a solar powered door. The solar panel is in direct sunlight for at least 6 hours every day, and somehow this is not enough to charge the battery. Even after I removed the battery and fully charged it and replaced it, the battery still died (with the solar panel connected) after 2 days.And one small complaint I have, is that when setting the time for the door to open/close you can only select by hour, on the hour. You can't even choose half hours. Which can be annoying when the girls aren't quite ready to go in the coop yet on the hour, but then by the next hour it is completely dark. I wish you could set a time for the door to open but then choose sunset for when it closes. But instead you have to choose either sunrise/sunset or two set times.Overall, would not recommend this product to anyone.

You need wifi to work this correctly. I do not so I don't get it's full benefits. Its a nice door. I will need to add another door to inside to cover this one for added insulation in winter.

I was very skeptical at first. Reading reviews I was not going to order it. When getting the chicken door it was easy to install and I feel like my chickens are safe and the app is easy to use and love that I can set a time for it to open and close. The solar panel is a great added bonus. Definitely recommend and will buy again if I ever have to

The settings don’t work well if you set it to open at specific times it doesn’t and it constantly disconnects and says offline luckily I have been home to let my girls out but not worth the money or risk of it not being open when it’s set to be

Maybe it’s user error, but it’s not connecting to my phone, doesn’t open/close on the times that I have it set, alarm goes off randomly. Struggles to shut but that could be due to the debris under. It was semi easy to install. I have tried what I can to get access to the camera (only reason I bought this door) and it always says request service. Unsure if this is user error or the door itself. It does stay shut tightly once it is closed, so they’re safe at night. But chickens were locked in coop because the door didn’t open when I had it set to (630 am).

the wifi connection doesnt work. my chicken coop is approx 50 ft from the house and this door wont even connect to the wifi. i really wanted this door for the ability to control the door opening/closing via my phone. but it's useless. i wish the company would address this concern because i wasted over 100 bucks on this door. it was already installed by the time i then tested the wifi connectivity. hoping the company reaches out to address my concern.

This automatic chicken coop door has been working great so far! It opens and closes right on schedule, which gives us peace of mind—especially when we’re not around. Our camera can see clearly into the yard now too, since the setup keeps everything consistent and well-lit. Super helpful for keeping the flock safe without having to run out every morning and night. Definitely a game-changer for coop life!

Only thing is it could have been designed with a little more area for the screws to go into.So far in the 4 days I've had it working, it has been dependable. Comes with a remote and the app options for open and close. Once fully charged and set up in the app I am pleased. The app is pretty easy if you are tech savvy. I like the camera on this .I tried twice with a cheaper one with failure so go for better in the first place to save hassle.
