bolt holes for hub not the correct size needed them right then so I drilled them out. everything else matched

2004 Honda Civic Value Package. I just installed them so I cannot comment about the longevity. They provide a nice ride so far.The big problem I had is that the mounting holes were 2mm too small for the bolts! Luckily I have a drill press and the correct size and type drill bit. The product as delivered has 14mm holes. The knuckle has holes for 16mm (5/8th inch) bolts. You cannot just put smaller bolts in because the knuckle will then not be secure. I had to drill them out. I used my drill press because the chuck on my handheld drill is too small for a 5/8 bit. I doubt it would have worked very well with a hand drill. I had been waiting for a few days for the parts to arrive, and had no time to hassle with returning them.

The quality of the shock absorber is ok, but you need to get some 5/8 inch drill bit or countersink (I used Ryobi 5/8 countersink) to make all 8 holes wider. It's a difficult task to change the shock absorber, and I do not recommend you to do it because you need some special tools for the ball joint, and it is better to change that too, but if you like challenges like me, go for it.

Do not buy for a CRV!!! The listing confirmed this is for a 2003 CRV.. I got them and they looked the same as the factory strut I pulled from the vehicle. Unfortunately the lower bushings were a smaller size and would not fit the lower bolts. I needed the car on the road that day and and didn’t want to deal with reinstalling all the old parts, or trying to deal with the headache of returning it so I had to take this to a shop to have them fix the bushing to get it to fit... the rest of the install was fine... and the car rides much smoother.Unfortunately we then noticed the strut also makes the car sit much lower in the rear than previously.. so now the car is ghetto, riding lower in rear than in front. I guess you get what you pay for. The price was right, But it would have been worth it to just get an OEN part.
