Got these units hooked up with a 150 foot cat 6 cable to create a remote computer workstation without having to buy and set up an additional PC. It works flawlessly with the HDMI video. Unfortunately, the keyboard loses keystrokes when plugged in to the receiver. As a consequence, I ended buying and running an active 150 foot USB cable alongside the cat 6., which solved the issue.

This item uses ethernet cable to extend the reach of HDMI cables. It does not allow video to be routed through ethernet switches or Wi-Fi access points.I thought I’d just make that point clear. To be fair, the seller didn’t claim that it could but it might not be obvious.Performance is very good and it does the job it sets out to do.

I recently installed the avedio links 196ft HDMI Extender Over Cat 5e/6/7, and it has exceeded my expectations in both performance and ease of use. This extender provides a seamless way to transmit Full HD 1080P video over long distances, and it successfully maintains high image and sound quality throughout. The aluminum alloy build feels solid and durable, which is reassuring given the critical role this device plays in my home entertainment setup. The setup was straightforward, with clear instructions that made connecting the HDMI sources and receivers simple. The extender supports PoC (Power over Cable), which is a convenient feature, as it reduces the need for additional power adapters and cables. Additionally, the inclusion of EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) ensures that the connected devices automatically adjust to optimal settings, and the deep color and Dolby Digital/DTS support make a noticeable difference in the audio-visual experience. I’ve used this extender to connect devices in different rooms, and it has delivered consistent, high-quality performance without any signal degradation or interruptions. Overall, the avedio links HDMI Extender is a reliable and effective solution for anyone needing to extend HDMI signals over Ethernet. It’s a top-notch product that provides excellent value for the price. Highly recommended!

I ran cat 6 70ft and absolutely no signal on display. I then try a 6ft cable and bam, picture shows. Really frustrating as I need this system working ASAP. My cat 6 is high quality and I've checked and tester my continuity multiple times. Also have two pairs of these extenders and both behave the same. No way it does 60m!

I bought this device to keep my streaming device in a room with good Wi-Fi coverage and connect it to a TV in a room with only so-so Wi-Fi coverage. I ran a 35’ CAT 6 cable between the TX and RX devices. The setup worked flawlessly. There were no delays in the video or the audio. The picture was sharp on a 1080P TV.The devices are well-built with metal. The devices also come with one power adapter and a USB A/C cable. Something, many companies no longer supply. Only one power supply is needed and it can be plugged into either device. This makes it nice if one device is closer to an outlet than the other device My problem was solved without going to much expense buying a super long HDMI cable or messing with yet another Wi-Fi booster.

I was tasked by my church to connect their computer on the back to the front TVs and this worked perfectly! I was even able to split it to show in 2 TVs.Just remember, the TV or HDMI splitter should have the receiver marked as RX and that they are powered which via USBC is enough power for my use case

Pretty easy to set up. Though the instruction guide that comes with indicates there are 2 power adapters. There is only one packed in the box. From testing, either TX or RX unit can be powered and the other will get power over the ethernet cable.Using a computer with HDMI 1080P, the TX and RX units, a 100 ft Cat6 patch cable, I was able to feed an older Epson 1080P capable projector. I noticed no degradation of signal versus a 6 ft HDMI x HDMI cable. I saw no lag.Pretty nicely finished. I actually prefer steel cases because they're magnetic and can be quickly and reversibly stuck to racks and carts that might be used for a projector.Overall this is a good product, but might be a little more work to set up than a wireless HDMI extender.

These are super lightweight and easy to mount or hide behind your cabinet. Was easy to run cat cable in my basement for access far away. Was a nice way to extend beyond multiple walls. The box was neatly packed without any waste. Highly recommended.

This is my second purchase of the HDMI extenders (1st being a longer distance version) and once again I am blown away by both the quality and performance of this little guy. The plug and play setup is a breeze and delivers instant results. Before this I was using a 50 foot HDMI cable and there was always a slight delay in the video. I had my Xbox inside and I had the HDMI cable feeding to my outdoor TV so I could play on the patio on summer nights. Unfortunately the delay made fast paced games like call of duty unplayable. Now with this, there is zero delay and no loss to video or audio quality.Inside the box you get 1 transmitter, 1 receiver, 1 USB power cable, and 1 USB power plug. You'll need to supply your own ethernet cable. I tested this out on a 150 foot long CAT6 cable and had no issues. I'd assume that the CAT7 would be even better and you'd most likely have similar results on the CAT5e though I didn't have one around the house to test with.So ditch those super long and overpriced HDMI cables. Get yourself these quality made extenders at half the cost. You won't regret the decision.
