I like the wide straight tip which works as I hoped it would. Easier to get ahold of hairs then the angled regular tip size ones, though I will say that there could be times when the angled tip could work better then a wide tip. Since I have both styles now I feel that I have hair pulling pretty well covered .

I have other Aven tools and have never been disappointed in their quality. This is no exception. While it's a simple tool, it's well-made, sturdy, and the tips match up perfectly. For just a couple of dollars (literally) more than the bottom of the barrel versions, this is a tool that works far better and will last much, much longer.The flared tips are perfect for my needs (compressing micro coils). The tips grab well, and the flat, flared surface does not distort the coil shape when they are being compressed. At the widest point of the flare the ends are about 7mm wide.It's made of stainless steel and is very well machined. It's stamped as being made in Pakistan.Very highly recommend this, and all other Aven tweezers. Great performance and durability for an excellent price.
