The thing that makes these labels so valuable is the free online software. I have had my free account for many years and they have saved every design that I have utilized during that time. Oh and by the way the labels were absolutely perfect also. Once I have my design supplied to the labels the fit and finish of the labels is perfect. I highly recommend these labels and the software feature that is available to everyone for free.

So whether your printing or not on these particular disk labels, it works fine for that of course, if your not writing labels, it can be rather tricky to find the appropriate template to make this work, so if you were to get a hold of these things with the intent of doing printed labels. MAKE SURE YOU FIND THE TEMPPLATE FIRST.Otherwise your mileage may vary upon your own ability to install these labels correctly.

They are supposed to be easy to apply, but they are actually very difficult to apply. The backing is in three parts and it is nearly impossible to get it off without damaging the label. This is exacerbated by the incredible flimsy nature of the paper itself. It is flimsier than printer paper! It is also a very dull matt. Not happy at all Avery!Unfortunately I have not been able to find anything better, as only a few of us seem to burn CDs any more.

There’s free online print software, so once you’ve taken the time to master the learning curve with that, as well as the art of actually applying the labels to CDs, final results are quite good.Having said that, I don’t know that I would ever fully trust stick-on labels in a computer or a car with a slotted CD player where a detached label would be next to impossible to extract.

I consider these to be quite economical for the price; about fifty cents/cd. On the cd shown, I've used a picture of the album cover. Then I add a text file with the songs numbered in the order on the cd (or record that I've recorded). Just a suggestion; I use the cd applicator that's comes with the labels. Having done hundreds of cd's labels, I find the best way to apply them is center the printed label just barely on the center post but not on the cd. Then gradually lower one of the edges of the label to the edge of the cd with about a one millimeter edge of the cd showing. Once you have about 25% of the label attached on the cd, use a finger to remove the center post. Then gradually continue applying the label from the beginning edge to the opposite side of the cd. I find this works better than trying to first attach the cd label from the center post. Again...just a suggestion...Glen...

I used these labels to self-publish some demo CDs for a band and it turned out great! Printed on a laser printer. Downloaded the official templates from Avery, but they didn't really line up. After several test prints on blank paper and comparing, I was able to get everything lined up. Did not need a label stomper, either. Just peel a small edge, flip the paper over and peel the paper off the label itself. This keeps the label flat so it doesn't curl. Then was able to easily eyeball it.

I have purchased these labels many times over the years. The work great! A couple of times, I have purchased some off brand labels hoping to save money. But, they never worked right. These Avery labels are fantastic. I’ve never had them jam in my laser printer, nor do they come out with streaks or “phantom” smear printing. These are high quality. The perforations on the individual sheets (they come two per page) also make it easy to tear off and place them on the disk. I learned my lesson with other brands. You may spend a little more with these Avery labels, but you get what you pay for. I save myself the frustration nowadays and only use these.

My bride likes HER music mixed with HER sounds in HER order and ONLY those sounds. No chance of recording the whole album and letting her skip the losers, oh no. I have to skip RECORDING those selections she does not want on HER CD. That all means that I then have to make a label for the CD rather than just doing what us guys do, which is scribble the name of the first band directly on the CD with an indelible marker and in a barely readable script and then calling it done. Needless to say these Avery Labels are perfect for my wife's needs, and they make my life somewhat more bearable as a result. They work almost perfectly in my Inkjet printer and I even run one at a time though warned NOT to run the label through a second time. No, I have not told the wife of my risky actions.

I went to my local Staples store to find Avery CD/DVD labels as I have a great many projects saved in Office Publisher, that I have had for years. I found that the store ONLY carried Memorex CD labels and it required a special (free download) software to be able to print on their labels. I did NOT want another piece of software which would add to the disappearing space on my HD and that would require me to reconstruct all my labels using their software. I then went to other office & computer supply outlets (including Office Max and Staples in another area) and found the exact same unacceptable brand/software of CD labels. EVEN THOUGH they had Avery brand labels for everything else! So, once again I found what I wanted on Amazon. These labels are not only of good quality but they offer several options for accurately applying them to the CD/DVD and templates can be found online that can be added to Office or Printshop if needed.
