This polisher is great for small jobs or big ones really. It's a single speed polisher but seems to be about the right speed. Great for a light cut , Buff and wax. Small enough to fit comfortably in your hands but powerful enough to handle a deep cut. Recommend.

I work on, paint and refinish guitars. I purchased this to buff and polish the clear coat finishes. It works great. With the controllable speeds it takes the finish from start to finish to a beautiful shine. Great price. Well built. Adjustable handle so you can set it to where it is most comfortable to you while using it. Would definitely recommend.

A very well made and sturdy polisher with variable speed rotations. Love the 2 sized pads. The handle is comfortable and holds the polisher steady while operating. Thanks Avid Power.

Just like all the other reviews I'll complain about the lousy power button. Other than that the other concerns mentioned by other about holding the unit weren't an issue. I'd buy it again but the power button is a pain. This is because you really have to turn it off while it's pressed against the surface you are working or it will spray all over. Turning it off while using isn't easy due to the poor quality power button. If I were using it regularly I wouldn't recommend but its fine for occasional use

Excellent product for the price. First time I've ever attempted a DIY paint correction on a vehicle. I purchased a used car and the previous owner must have never washed it as the car had many etchings from bird droppings deep into the clearcoat. A compound + polish with the AVID buffer and the paint looks factory fresh!! Instructions are clear and item is very easy to use. I watched many videos on how to do this correctly but I have 0 experience and I'm amazed at how good it looks. There's no reason to spend more money on a different DA polisher. 100% happy with my purchase.

I dont understand other reviewers saying it doesn't have enough power, it doesn't stall. This is my first buffer polisher so i got nothing to compare it to. It gets hot after doing a pickup truck tailgate. A little noisey but doesn't hurt the ears. The threads one of the bolts for the handle is messed up and wouldn't thread on, had to file a piece of thread, but still ended up with metal shavings. Access hole for the threads weren't lined up perfectly but i still managed to install the handle. Ryobi angle grinder (the smaller grinder) handle fits on the thread if you don't want to use the D handle. Dont put your face too close to the exhaust and don't inhale the air coming out of the machine.

I really fell in love with this tool immediately. I have used many DA sanders over the years and this may be the best yet. I expected it to feel cheaply made with a lot of vibration and figure that at the price tag of $70.00 I could always find something to use it for. Wow, was I surprised, this thing is surprisingly hefty, the on not switch works like an angle grinder where you depress as it forward and push forward to lock it on. This is real handy when maneuvering around corners and using both hands to grip at the extremes of the tool in order to make smooth consistent and fluid turns around corners and angles. The hook and loop backing the pad is surprisingly good. In fact, it was almost too good and I’ve really had to put a lot of effort into stripping the polishing pad off of the sander. Super nice that it comes with both 5” and 6” backers, along with a yellowed deep cut foam pad and a softer black foam pad for fine polishing and finishing. Having the 5 inch option is great sense I could use all of my Bosch RO sanding disks that I have invested in on this machine The only con I could find was there required and Allen wrench to adjust the handle, not that it wasn’t perfectly locked in to position, but it would be nice to have a quick release adjustment so I would not have to go back to the toolbox what I wanted to change the setting. It has variable speed control which is amazing. This feels, looks, and works like a tool three times its price.Totally Impressed!!
