Bulb had horrible banding out of the box with colors off as well. Had read on another cheap bulb review about a guy swapping out his old prism and seeing improvements from similar issues. Waited through the weekend football games and thought I’d try that out today before sending it back. Worked like a charm. Took my old prism from the previous bulb housing out and swapped it with this one’s after a little cleaning. New/old prism corrected whatever was wrong and now it’s actually like a new bulb. I’m a bit iffy on how long the bulb will last considering they couldn’t even get the prism right.Edit: From 2 to 1 star. On11-23-23 the bulb went out. Lasted less than 3 months. Seems I was right. Should’ve just returned it when I saw the prism issue. I would advise no one buy this bulb.

Do yourself favor and spend the extra money on a bulb direct from BenQ. It's not with the money you save up front to buy this bulb.

Was easy to install, and was happy .. until the bulb burned out after 400 hours use. I made sure I reset the bulb life counter since I wasn't sure how many hours I got from my last one. Unfortunately, I'd bought two to have a spare ... we'll see if this new one does any better, but I'm not holding my breath.

I had no issues with this product. My old bulb blew out, bought this one, installed in less than 15 minutes and I was up and running again. Would buy again!!

I learned a lot this week when the bulb blew in our projector for the first time. This lamp is compatible with our Benq HT3050 and was easy to install with the help of a 'how to' YouTube video. Ours is mounted upside down to the ceiling so it would have been nice to include the clear sticker that lays over the lamp since the one we took off was covered in broken glass. Overall though the picture is clear and bright. Delivery was next day, on time and packaged well for protection of the fragile pieces. We would definitely purchase again.

This bulb is a perfect replacement to my benq HT2050a OEM Bulb for a fraction of the cost of OEM bulb. Also will fit HT2050 which uses same bulb. My old bulb had 3700 hours on it and was already going dim. This bulb brought my projector back to new life. Brightness, and colors are the same as when my projector was new. Also this bulb comes with a warranty. Take caution as there are other bulbs on Amazon that say they will fit the HT2050 and HT2050a but they are not exactly the same. This bulb is an exact replacement. Don't think just buy if your projector bulb is going out!
