I do a lot of sewing, and my machine is old enough to show some wear and tear. The bobbin winder is not as dependable as it used to be. So I decided to splurge and get a bobbin winder. My husband was determined that I was not gonna get the cheapest version of it, but I was gonna spend some money for it - a decent bobbin winder- one that would last. So after reading all the reviews, for dependability, reliability, for ease of instruction on use, I purchased this particular brand. And I will admit spending almost $50 to wind thread seems a little excessive. But based on the reviews, it seemed the best possible purchase. It was not one that people tend to return often. The instructions are reasonable and understandable. Putting the pieces together is easy. And the instructions for doing so readable and understandable. There is not much to this little machine in terms of how much space it takes up or putting it together or all the movable pieces and parts that one can affect. This winds a bobbin incredibly fast. Ridiculously fast. And it’s surprisingly quiet while it’s doing it. I will confess that my first few bobbins were tangled messes. And fortunately, I had a whole raft of extra bobbins so with those messes I just threw in the trash, I didn’t even bother trying to rescue the bobbin From all those knots and miss windings and things because I didn’t have the thread angled in the right way or something.I like this little machine-it doesn’t take up a lot of space on my work table. And it certainly seems heavy duty enough, and it’s gonna last me for many years to come.I dislike having to wind bobbins in the middle of a sewing project. So this bobbin binder makes it so that I don’t have to. As I was learning to use it and get comfortable with it I just took thread and wound bins until they were empty. I now have plenty of bobbins to pop in and out as I need them. Very very nice.An unexpected side benefit to this little gizmo – is the fact that I found a great buy on some thread at a closeout for a store going out of business not even thinking about the fact that thread is too large for my sewing machine. The great thing is, I can use the Bobbin winder as a stand for This thread so I can use it in my machine. Pure genius. And I love that this made this machine absolutely worth the money I spent on it. My husband in his inimitable fashion, just looked at me and said.” See what happens when you pay decent money for a quality product.”. He likes being right – and I’m glad he was.

The bobbin winder on my Mega Quilter 1200 stopped working. This works great winding both the original bobbins and the aftermarket ones.

I'm a professional quilter and a properly filled bobbin with good tension is essential piecing on my domestic machines, this bobbin winder achieves the correct tension on class 15 and L class bobbins. I love it becauseI don't have to stop sewing to fill a bobbin, I can fill with this while I sew and get a perfect bobbin every single time. The Axis is the one I came back to after trying another brand that didn't hold up to this one.I hope this helps. :)

I bought this because I was tired of the smaller types that are sometimes more expensive. This works better, faster, and is much more durable and dependable than any other brand. I have had this now for three years and is still working as new. Will buy a second one just in case something happens to my first one. My friends could have sticky fingers due to jealousy. Lol!

Great little winder. Only thing is I wish it had and on and off switch. I just unplugged it but, still a bit annoying.

I love this little machine, works so much better than the bobbin winder that came with my industrial sewing machine. It's quiet, smooth running and quick. Wish I had ordered one years ago!

I got this for my mom and she loved it. It saved her a bunch of time since the winder on her machine stopped working. Shes sews as a hobby and it had very light usage and suddenly it just wont turn on. We've tried everything and its absolutely dead. So disappointing.

I Like the tension and quality of this bobbin maker. Be sure to thread it properly. Makes bobbins Better than my own machine! No on/off button so you need to plug/ unplug each time you use. That’s the only inconvenience but worth it for the price.Value vs. price is great.

Works well on my M size bobbins but beware that the stop sensor does not work in bright light or sunlight. Had mine on a sunny window sill and this is what happened, twice. Learnt the third time.

Throughout all the reviews I kept seeing where it said that there are no instructions but they came on the box and there was an installation guide that gave all the information you needed. It took a minute to figure out the correct tension needed and where the inductor needed to be pushed into so I had the bobbins full to my likeness but this winder works great. It is easy to use and faster than just using my sewing machine since I can just pop in a new bobbin and the thread I want and let it fill while I'm still sewing since it automatically stops. So quite happy I got this especially since I can use thread cones with it as well.

I’m still learning how to wind a “perfect bobbin’’ ........ it winds a fairly great bobbin....just a little bottom heavy meaning not equal top to bottom.... it’s very quick and easy to use..... wish there was an on off power switch so I could turn it off instead of unplugging it when I’m done. I’m still thrilled with it as it works great.... worth the price! The thread stand is worth having on it....might have issues if it wasn’t on.... I wobbled between having one or the one with out.....glad it’s on!

I was so frustrated with this product, I wanted really bad for it to work, as my machine sometimes rolls the thread in the machine instead of the bobbin and I waste a lot of time taking the thread out of it.The first issue is THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS, you need to find out where every stick goes, and if you are a woman like me you are not sure if the bolt goes on top or the bottom :(When I finally had everything looking like in the photos of the listing! because the box is no help all have the same photo, and you don't know how the thread is supposed to go. I tried, and tried and tried, every time the bobbin wasn't filled up right, it was a mess! the thread was then again staying in the machine's shaft...instead of the bobbin! Then I read reviews, and some said something about the thread supposedly going through a hole but didn't mention which hole! and the drawing from the seller has a blue line that distract you from seeing the hole! and that's the clue for everything! Here are some instructions that I hope will help:The thread comes from the cone, through the thread stand, then to the little hole behind the adjuster, if you see the last photo in the listing and the fourth I posted here, its there! without doing that its impossible to have a bobbin filled, there you adjust the tension, just like in the old sewing machines and to the bobbin. Finally worked out, bobbin filled up fast and stopped when full. So is working great. But I give three stars because its incredible they weren't able to pay to a translator to make instructions. Yes, the machine its made in China. I lost so much time, and was so frustrated, almost ready to pack it and throw it back to them. $52 dollars is not cheap, I expected a good reliable bobbin filler. Hope keeps working well.
