Very very cheap metal, snapped almost immediately after wearing only once. The string is not durable, and while it is adjustable, the knots allowing it to act this way became untied and frayed under very light wear. I would not purchase this again, instead would opt for a more expensive but hardier necklace.

I wear this 24/7 for the past few months and let me tell you it does wonders. I have not gotten sick since I have worn this, and let me tell you I work retail, with constantly touching things sick people have touched and sneezing and coughing. Almost all my coworkers have gotten sick twice and here I am untouched. I perhaps get a dry throat every now and then, but nothing a bottle of water and positive thoughts can't fix. I wear this in the shower, in my sleep, everywhere. And still, it remains in great condition. The cord is even in great shape. The pendent has perhaps darkened, not sure if it means anything like absorbs negative energy or something. I totally recommend, even if you're not a person with beliefs as mine.

The night I got this, I put it on. A couple of hours later I started to feel REALLY nauseous, like I was about to throw up. I kept it on, but definitely thought "omg what if it's the necklace." I almost vomited a couple times and was nauseous from like 7pm to 2am, BUT after that I was fine. AND it wasn't the necklace at all. If anything the necklace prevented me from getting more sick. You see I had apparently caught the flu sometime that day and then put on the necklace and felt the sickness. I was fine the next day, but my family wound up getting the WORST flu of their lives from me. They had the flu for a week! I didn't even vomit! Not sure if it was the necklace or just dumb luck. I like to think it was the necklace.

This is a beautiful piece of jewelry. I bought it for my daughter because it is a protection amulet. She loved the fact that it came on a leather cord that can be worn long or as a choker. Well worth the money.

You get what you pay for. It is a nice piece and is actually a decent size, but it looks like costume jewelry. I did change the leather part with a silver chain and it does look nicer. It is more for a younger person in my opinion. I have to admit that it was a very reasonable price. I would definitely purchase this for a person in their teens or early twenties.
