This tap was perfect for my job, which was to tap a small tube used to build a lamp. The normal (water, gas, etc.) pipe has tapered threads, but lamps use a straight thread since sealing against leaks is not an issue when running lamp wires.

Works great and fits my tap holder perfectly. Used it to thread several items when restoring vintage light fixtures. The threads are nice and clean.

had a problem with the tap, it would not fit in a 1/4-1/2 tap handle to big, when i contacted the company they were not much help with the problem. had to have some one to grind the tap down to fit in another handle.
