Love it best release I’ve owned and the third hinge release I’ve had

I too have suffered from target panic! I was using a thumb release and eventually went to a back tension / resistance release (not the hinged type) which helped cure my target panic. My scores increased, but the resistance release was somewhat inconsistent. So I went back to a thumb release and learned how to use it like a back tension release. I have been shooting a thumb trigger release for about a year using the back tension/ pull through method. I decided to give a hinged type a try. After searching, I came across the B3 Coop Release. At first, I was very intimidated about using hinge release since I had heard horror stories about users accidentally punching themselves in the face during the draw. I learned that proper draw, draw weight, and release sensitivity is very important when using a hinged release. I have watched several videos on how to properly use a hinged release and learned how to make a release trainer out of paracord and D-loop material. After a several tries on the trainer, I felt comfortable and somewhat confident enough to use it with my compound bow. I was immediately blown away! The B3 Coop was everything I was looking for! Accuracy and comfort! I had to get use to the click sound during close-up bale shooting, but after that, my first couple of shots at 10 yards, my arrows were touching and within the middle of the bulls-eye! I soon moved to 20 yards, same results! At this point, I was totally amazed at how extremely accurate I was shooting using the B3 Coop. Best of all, no target panic! The real test came at the 3D range. After Sighting in and dialing in my pins at the Static range, I was definitely comfortable and confident enough to do some 3D shooting. My first two targets at 30 yards were both inside the ten ring and all targets after that, which were all hitting the 10 and 12 rings. My longest target was 50 yards and I Center-punched the 10 ring like a pro! I can honestly say, I am shooting at a whole another level using the B3 coop! Now for the bad part.1st. There are no instructions or very little, if any, how-to videos about setting up the B3 Coop, even the Coop website doesn’t have a customer support link (Go figure). I did learned that the Coop releases are similar in design and function as the Scott releases, since the owner of the Coop releases is the Nephew of the Owner of Scott releases. I resorted to using some of Scott release videos and instructions to aid in setting up the B3 Coop hinge release. Also, one of the biggest complaints I have about the B3 Coop, there is absolutely no instructions on replacing the rubber bands that is used to automatically reset the d-loop hook! Mine broke after about 100 shots, but fortunately, the B3 Coop comes with extra bands and a extra moon disc/clicker. I had to figure out how to replace the bands on my own, even-though, Scott releases uses a similar rubber band set up, it is not the same on the B3 Coop. The B3 Coop uses a set screw to act as an anchor point to hold the rubber-band for the D-loop hook tension. After about 30 minutes, I finally figured it out. I may make a video to show how to replace the rubber-band.Overall, the B3 Coop is one of the best investments I have made to cure my target panic and introduction to using a hinge release. Very solid and weighted release; however, I did give it four stars for the lack of detailed institutions.Best regards,JD
