While the light appeared bright directly, this went in a spotlight that we had focused on Jesus that we had at the church and perhaps LED just isn’t a good option, we couldn’t see the light upon Jesus, it was very dim. The bulb that replaced was old school incandescent 100 watt. Didn’t think 25 watts made such a difference.

The bulb in my 1978 Elna sewing machine burned out and the incandescent bulb I bought to replace it gave me trouble. After consulting a YouTube video for help in inserting the bulb, I came across a video showing how to install a "modern" LED bulb replacement. The light bulb went on, and I wondered if the wonderfully bright LED would fit into my vintage machine. Lo and behold, it fits, slipped in easily, and lights my sewing surface like never before! It's totally changed my sewing experience!

This is a great replacement light bulb for Sears Kenmore 158.19471 sewing machine from the 1970s. I believe it works in any of the 158 series sewing machines. I got two replacement bulbs for less than one bulb bought elsewhere and it arrived the next day. The more expensive bulb was going to take two weeks getting to me. The light is so much more pleasant than the light from the original bulb. The original bulb was also MUCH hotter! I am very pleased with my purchase.

Rehabbing my grandma's old 1980's Kenmore sewing machine, kept burning my fingers on the old incandescent bulb. This LED was a direct replacement. More light with a better white color, and zero heat.

White plastic is sticking out compared to normal bulb. Needed use of dremel tool to cut metal on original fixture for it to fit

This is a well-made bulb and easy to install, No problems at all with it. It is only 5W though and does not put out as much light as I thought it would. You can see my picture comparing it to a 15W incandescent bulb in the same Singer model 347. The white light is easier on the eyes and shows truer colors of the fabric which is great. It also generates hardly any heat at all; a big advantage over the old bulb. It fits perfectly in every Vintage sewing machine I tried that takes a bayonet-style base vs screw-in. I will buy a brighter one in the future, but if you want an affordable well-made LED that puts out a nice white light this one is fine.
