Don't do it! 15 items aren't included, so you still have to spend an extra $30.

Make sure you mix this sucker in a large bowl, a dixie cup as recommended isnt going to work, you will dump everything on the counter and be angry. A plastic spoon is also not going to work, it will thicken and break and you will get angry. You do need to use cold water while the baby sleeps. It sets up insanely fast but it does work. The plaster will leave bubble holes so expect to touch up quite a bit, use a file to get rid of the chunks of stuff that didnt set right. But overall im very happy I used it. Hobby Lobby sells it half price, it was worth $4 to me.

I wish I could give this zero stars. Terrible. Did not work at all. Do not purchase this- you will be wasting your money. I’ve done these several times before but the molding compound on this kit sets up too fast- did 2 sets and both flopped.

It tells you to mix it for 1 minute, but if you follow instructions, it ends up being too set to even get a surface level footprint. Waste of money.

The instructions say "For best results..." and that should be IMMEDIATELY followed with "spend an extra $100 and buy a T-Shirt gun so you can launch money and patience out of it". I bought this as a gift for my wife, it was pretty last minute, so the fault is mine for not doing research, but I am a materials engineer and mixing chemicals is a no-brainer for me. This kit was far in a way the WORST money I have spent. My first attempt looked like grey cottage cheese, I was mixing it for 1 minute, put my daughters hand in for 4mins and it came out with globs everywhere. Our second attempt, since now I was only going to get either foot or hand was again her hand... feet are for chumps apparently. I used considerably less molding which created a better consistency, and my daughter was amazing, but after 5mins the inside looked terrible, still globby, no detail, just disappointment. I'm going to return the used kit, I for sure want my money back. But ALSO BE WARNED! Hobby Lobby sells this kit for $9 at it's store and $20 online...

I bought this as my daughter is in the hospice unit now, and is in a coma like state, this gave me a PERFECT mold of her hand that I can keep forever, it is so detailed and wonderful! Mix the right ratios, and move quick and you will not be disappointed !

If you can get your baby to sit still while you stick a part of their body into cool to cold product you may be able to use this. The kid has to be still or the mold does not set without voids and distortions. Add to that the fast set time and you can imagine the frustration you are getting ready to put yourself and your baby through. Take the advice of one who has already lived the farce. Don't do it!

This product advertises itself as "Simple," and it would be except the transition of the molding in step one goes from malleable to non-penetrable in less than 30 seconds....if you don't get the baby's foot/hand in there by then, you have to force it, which just makes baby scream! We tried a second time after calming baby down, and he could not hold his foot in the mold for the full 1 to 2 minutes before he got upset again and began squirming - and we decided to not force him, it wasn't worth it. Notes: We followed the instructions to the tee both times, used the proper water temperature, and we do not have an excessively fussy baby - it's just really hard to do! Not worth the money or the frustration or the upset baby.
