The mat is nice and soft yet not so that it makes standing and walking difficult. Really nice colors too. AND being machine washable is a plus!

I just received and it and these are my initial impressions. It's adorable and very soft but it's barely a padded mat, it's basically a thin blanket with a light rubber pad on the bottom. If you are looking for something to buffer falls for a baby whose perhaps still learning to sit unsupported -this is NOT the purchase for you. It's really thin and if a baby falls on this, it's not cushioning anything. They will still feel the hardwood floor if that's what is what it's on top, of for example. However, if you're just looking for a soft, clean place to put baby down for tummy time this is perfect for that. No, this is not comparable to the $30-$50 other mats on the market. However this one is only $9 so obviously it wouldn't be. That said, this isn't a bad mat at all. If it was a little thicker I'd give it a perfect rating. It's quite spacious and cute just not as protective and plush as I'd like. But for $9, you really can't go wrong.

This is very thin compared to similar products. I have a different brand i bought for my living room floor and it is great for some added padding but i wanted one for my pack n play. There are none that are that size but i found this one at a good price ($9) so i could cut it and sew it down to the size I need. It came in vacuum sealed. I let it sit for a day or two and it didn't fluff so i tossed it in the dryer and still no fluff. It's basically the thickness of a comforter so it doesn't really add much more padding. I ended up folding it and using 2 layers for my pack n play.

I bought the play mat so I have something in my home for my grand daughters but didn’t want to spend a lot on something they’ll only use while they’re in my home. The quality is decent and I washed it and hung it to dry without incident. The thickness is good and the back has tiny anti skid dots so it won’t slide around. I only wish they had more options of patterns and colors.
